Behind the glass, mannequins inhabit a fantasy world of luxury and glamour. Outside the store window is the real world. I use the reflection on the store window’s front pane of glass to combine these worlds in a single exposure and make the mannequins appear to magically pop out onto the sidewalk. I am fascinated by the illusion that emerges when the panoramas inside store windows and reflections of the surrounding environment combine to reveal ironies, complexities and wonder in a single image.

For me, photography is the way I see the world, respond to my environment and record what interests me, frame by frame.
