Photography is an ideal art for me. Image can be used in a documentary or artistic style. I love the idea of capturing a moment in time. In some cases, this means photographing tender or emotional moments and in others it means capturing humor in daily life. The photographer Cartier Bresson defined it as when the “moment occurs when the visual and psychological elements of people in a real-life scene spontaneously and briefly come together”. I aspire to this when I do street photography.
However, when working purely in an abstract digitized manner I like to look at the world in a topsy turvy way. It may be demanding of me to ask others along for the ride of seeing a concept upside down. But I feel a lot of joy in the moments when they do.
