GREY GHOST TREES
While on a hike early one foggy morning in the Sapphire Mountains of North Carolina I came upon a very ethereal landscape. The bare trees seen through the fog made me feel almost is if I were in a dream.
ENGLISH NUN
This photograph is a perfect example of my artistic aesthetic of capturing, beauty, whimsy, and/or the unusual in the everyday or commonplace. I was in a retail shop on a typical, dreary London day when I realized I could see the reflection of an ad poster inside the shop on a window so that it looked like it was floating like a ghost out on the sidewalk where people were passing by going about their business. The color of the “Nun” in her habit against the gray street, the muted shopfronts and the dark colors of the clothing on the people passing by adds beautiful color to the scene. It looks like the people on the street are going to walk right through her.
