Pat Yancovitz is an Upper West Sider who has been a photographer since she was in her teens. Her work concentrates on cityscapes and architecture in New York City and landscapes on the East End of Long Island.
Whether in NYC or Long Island, the common element of her photos is the play of light, and the resulting patterns of shadows and reflections that it creates. A long time interest in architectural preservation has culminated in a project to photographically preserve abandoned buildings, both to capture the beauty in deteriorating buildings, as well as to create a record of vanishing New York architecture.
Pat is currently working on a project which combines photographic collage with acrylic painting and drawing. Pat is a member of Professional Women Photographers and exhibits her photographs and art work in the tri-state area.
